Revelation 13:16-17 King James Version
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation 13 talks about an end of event where the beast who was wounded heals and another beast or a second beast sets up an image for the first beast leading to worshiping the beast. These beast was wounded and yet lived.
Revelation 13:2-3 KJV
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
We read this in Revelation 17:8 KJV
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
We see in the two verses that the whole world will wonder after the beast. Who here is referred as the whole world? Those whose names are not written in lambs book of life. Revelation 13 confirms that further.
Revelation 13:8 KJV
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Before we proceed further let us know who these beast was or is. It will be good to start here. Revelation 13 gives us quite some clues on who the beast is. Let us the clues of these beast.
The beast is given power by the dragon.
Revelation 13:2 says "... and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." The bible tells us that the dragon that wanted to hurt the male child and could not in Revelation 12 gives power to this beast. The beast in Revelation 12:9 tells us that this prophecy is talking about Satan. whereas the dragon is Satan, he primarily work through Rome to go after the male child who is Jesus. This we can confirm in Revelation 12:5 for he was caught up to God and to his throne. Without doubt the bishop of Rome got power from Rome.
2. The beast rules for 1260 prophetic days.
In Ezekiel 4:6 we learn prophetic days stand for equivalent number of literal years. a day for a year. Therefore this power would rule for 1260 literal years and not 1260 literal days. We will upload a post to enrich you in this later. From AD 538 to 1798 which is exactly 1260 years, Papacy has been ruling the world. The saints suffered during that time and scriptures tell us so.
Revelation 13:5-7 KJV
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
We have some little clue by now that this beast power is papacy. A full updated study on this will be uploaded soon.
What then is the mark of the beast is the vaccine that is being rolled out ? or is it the enactment of the National Sunday law globally? This part one series ends by showing what that the mark of the beast is and if we have any other test for the flock now? Does the vaccine have anything to do with one receiving the mark of the beast and does it have an impact on our spiritual life as others make it?
Ellen White on the mark of the Beast.
1. It will be Sunday Keeping when the test comes, not now.
When the test comes, it will be clearly shown what the mark of the beast is. It is the keeping of Sunday.—The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:980 (1900).
No one has yet received the mark of the beast.—Evangelism, 234 (1899).
Sundaykeeping is not yet the mark of the beast, and will not be until the decree goes forth causing men to worship this idol sabbath. The time will come when this day will be the test, but that time has not come yet. The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:977 (1899)
The sign, or seal, of God is revealed in the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath, the Lord's memorial of creation.... The mark of the beast is the opposite of this—the observance of the first day of the week.—Testimonies for the Church 8:117 (1904).
2. She is clear what it refers to getting the mark on the hand or on the forehead
“He causeth all, both small and great, ... to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads” (Revelation 13:16). Not only are men not to work with their hands on Sunday, but with their minds are they to acknowledge Sunday as the Sabbath.—Special Testimony to Battle Creek Church (Ph 86), 6, 7 (1897).
Is this vaccine then the mark of the beast from the quotations above? It cannot be. The prophecy of Revelation 13 is a symbolical prophecy. None is being vaccinated on the head. The mark of the beast is not a physical mark on the body.
Should we take vaccines?
Concerning vaccination against smallpox, D. E. Robinson, one of Ellen White’s secretaries, under the date of June 12, 1931, wrote as follows concerning Mrs. White’s attitude toward vaccination:
“You ask for definite and concise information regarding what Sister White wrote about vaccination and serum.
“This question can be answered very briefly for so far as we have any record, she did not refer to them in any of her writings.
“You will be interested to know, however, that at a time when there was an epidemic of smallpox in the vicinity, she herself was vaccinated and urged her helpers, those connected with her, to be vaccinated. In taking this step, Sister White recognized the fact that it has been proven that vaccination either renders one immune from smallpox or greatly lightens its effects if one does come down with it. She also recognized the danger of their exposing others if they failed to take this precaution. [Signed] D. E. Robinson” (Selected Messages, bk. 2, p. 303).
Whereas vaccines can be a good solution to ending the current pandemic, they don't take the place of NEWSTART. We will need to build our immunity for there are other diseases. The vaccines only offer antibodies to fight this specific disease. With that still the vaccination is not a license to break the health laws regarding this condition, the experts have already said that we will need to continue masking, social distancing, sanitizing surfaces and hands and even checking our ventilation for it is airborne as well.
Sabbath test is the only test we will have
Be careful in every move that you make. We are now very near the great crisis. The Lord would have every action performed with an eye single to His glory. To create a new issue on the dress question would be the very thing that would please the enemy. There would be much talk, much burden one for another because all do not dress exactly alike. The agitation on this subject is not demanded. Tests are not to be manufactured. We have a test for this time—the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, and nothing is to be brought in to draw the mind and heart from the great work of preparation for this time. The dress question is not to be our present truth. Should our sisters think that they must adopt a certain style of dress, controversy would arise, and minds which should be wholly given to the work of the third angel’s message would spend their time making an aggressive warfare on the outward dress. This zeal, which would be regarded by some as an evidence of piety, would only be an evidence of the want of true piety, of the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
Have your focus on Christ
The end is near. The children of light are to work with earnest, persevering zeal to lead others to prepare for the great event before us, that they may be able to resist the enemy because they have allowed the Holy Spirit to work upon their hearts. New and strange things will continually arise to lead God's people into false excitement, religious revivals, and curious developments. Let them keep advancing, with their eyes fixed alone upon the Light and Life of the world. Know that everything that is called light and truth in the Word of God is light and truth, an emanation from divine wisdom, not an imitation of Satan's subtle arts. The light of God's wisdom will be to every true, steadfast, contrite soul as a lamp to his feet.—Letter 45, 1899.
